Our history

FAP srl was founded in 1954 by the intuition of the young Giorgio Vaudano who decided to enter the world of pens by producing clips and he grown so specialized to become one of the largest producer of clips. Willingly we can say that FAP was the first company nationwide to set aside old manual systems for the production of clips and it started using automatic systems designed and manufactured entirely in-house.

Thanks to the creative talent of its founder, the company started to collect achievements in the field of accessories for pens and thanks  to its experience and know-how new departments were opened (metal heat treatment department, galvanic department and  polishing treatment department for metal components), thus offering its customers an increasingly competent and complete offer.

In the eighties FAP decided to create his own line of pens launched on the market with BORGHINI brand name. BORGHINI was the name of the great-grandfather of Mr. Vaudano who had the merit to instill in his grandson the love for mechanics which he himself had learned from Don Bosco, founder of the Salesians.

Later, with the aim of integrating the production cycle, the company opened two new departments: the molding of thermoplastic material and the turned parts department and finally FAP completed its structure acquiring a molding department for metal deep drawn parts and a molding department for springs, thus becoming one of the few Italian companies in this sector to produce almost all of the pen in its factories. This allows FAP to have greater autonomy in the production of its lines that have been increasingly expanded to offer not only pens for stationery but also for the promotional market and gifts.
